Bueno... yo sé que ya usamos bastante la tecnología en nuestra clase de español, pero, una cosa que no hacemos lo suficiente es informar el mundo de lo que estamos aprendiento.
En particular, me gustaría comunicar más con tus padres, así que creo que un blog sería una buena manera de hacerlo. También, es posible que podamos conectarnos con otra clase de hispanohablantes usando el blog.
He usado blogs en mis clases en el pasado, pero más como una forma de prácticar la escritura. ¿Cuáles ideas tienen ustedes ahora do como lo podemos usar juntos? - ¿Solo un blog para todos? ¡Deja (leave) un comentario por favor!

How-To Set Up Your Blog!
To set up your blogger blog, complete the following steps:
1. Open another tab so that you can work in a fresh window (click the "apple" button and then "t")
2. Go to Blogger: https://www.blogger.com/start
(Optional): 3. If you don't already have an e-mail address or if you would like a new one specifically for this project/class, go to https://www.google.com/accounts/and sign up for an e-mail account. You may use a different e-mail if you already have one.
4. Back at blogspot.com, click on the orange "Create Your Own Blog Now" arrow and provide the necessary information. (Be sure to click the box that says "I accept the terms of service"); then click the orange "Continue" button
5. Pick a template- don't worry you can change it later if you don't like it!
6. Your blog is created! You can start to work on your first post or on adding gadgets to your sidebar.
7. IMPORTANTE: Go to Settings, Comments, and scroll all the way to the bottom to "Comment Notification Email"-- here, type my e-mail address: srasearls@gmail.com Then, SAVE SETTINGS.

Adding Gadgets:
To add a gadget (like a poll or a list of links) to your blog, click on "Customize" in the upper right-hand corner of your blog. This will lead to a screen where you can click "add a gadget" and choose the type of gadget you want.
Pick the sort of gadget you want to add and publish it. You can move the gadgets around so that they show up where you prefer. Just click and drag to rearrange gadgets.
If blogger is lacking a gadget that you'd like to include, go to http://www.google.com/; search for "gadgets" and find the gadget you'd like. Then, go to "Customize" on your blog, and choose "HTML/Java Script" Just copy and paste the gadget code into this area and click "Publish". At any time, click "View Blog" to see what it will look like!

Adding your Voki to your blog!
1. Go to http://www.voki.com/
2. At the top right-hand corner, click "register" and provide the necessary info. Registration confirmation will be sent to you e-mail address.
3. Begin to create your voki. You can save and come back at any time (even from home--you'll just need to go back to http://www.voki.com/ and sign in with your username and password)
4. Once you get to the voice section, decide on what you will say to introduce yourself. Remember it needs to be different from your written introduction, be 1.5-2 minutes long, and be entirely in Spanish!
5. Call the number and record your message. You can re-record until you're satisfied!
6. Use the HTML/Java Script Gadget to add your voki to your blog!

¡Soy yo, Señora Searls!
Bueno, un poco sobre yo...
Soy morena y mediana. Tengo 23 años y estoy casada. Mi esposo se llama Justin. Él es moreno también y tiene ojos cafés. No tengo hijos, pero tengo 3 hermanos--2 chicos y una chica. Yo soy la bebé de mi familia. Soy estadounidense (he vivido en los estados todo mi vida, aunque ¡he vivido en 7 estados diferentes!)
Soy profesora del Español y me gusta usar la tecnología en la clase. Por eso, creé éste blog para usar con mis alumnos. Ellos también estoy creando blogs y vamos a usarlos para practicar la escritura.
